StormSkin™
StormSkin™ polyurea is a very strong highly resilient super-polymer designed to aid in the protection of building infrastructures, pipelines, bridges, etc. This super-polymer is a derivative of BlastSkin™, a Military-Grade super-polymer, targeting extreme properties such as tear strength, impact and abrasion resistance. StormSkin is a non-breathable polyurea which eliminates water vapor transmission to underlying surfaces. This prevents metals to oxidize or rust under its impenetrable skin. It is used primarily to protect industrial infrastructures, waterproofing containment areas, steel frameworks, natural gas/oil pipelines, surge water walls, tanks reservoirs, rail cars, above and below ground piping, concrete and masonry waterproofing, heavy equipment coating, shipbuilding and harsh marine corrosive environments.

Given its hard shell, penetrating nature, cleanability and anti-microbial additives it is used in hospitals, food processing plants, food storage facilities, aircraft hangers, subway walls and other demanding surfaces requiring high performance protective characteristics. It maintains superior dry film hardness to protect against wear providing long-term ease of maintenance. This material may also be color tinted to match solid or translucent color systems only using SuperSkinSystems™ colorants. Levels of added color may provide decorative translucent to opaque appearances. WBClearSkin may be used over a host of diverse types of substrates such as concrete, brick, stone, metal, wood and composites.
WBClearSkin is primarily used as an industrial/commercial floor coating. It has many other diverse uses including parking decks, exterior siding, residential garage floors and other exterior/interior applications. It may also be used as stone/paver sealer and topcoat, wood and concrete primer and/or decorative textured colored finish as it supports aggregate broadcasts. See color textures chart here. There are 2 versions of the formulation to provide either a glossy or a matte finish.
WBClearSkin may be applied by a standard air-less spray equipment, roller or brush. Substrate surfaces must be clean/dry, free of contaminates and loose dust. SuperSkinSystems offers superior-cleansing enzyme agent materials to help loosen and degrease fatty oil impregnated surfaces to aid in preparatory efforts to provide a properly prepared substrate surface. These bio-enzyme cleaners deliver extreme deep cleaning to pre-existing machine-finished concrete surfaces. This surface coating system dries to a hard clear walk-on protective finish in 12 hours and fully cured withing 72 hours depending on drying conditions. Two (2) coats are recommended using a 2-3 hour re-coat window without abrading the surface.

WBE-2
WBE2 is a clear or pigmented 2- component water based aliphatic epoxy formulation with excellent chemical and UV resistance. WBE2 has great adhesion to most substrates such as concrete, metals and asphalt. There is no odor or vocs allowing it to use for inside applications. It is available with 50% nano size glass filler , anti static , anti-microbial, and anti-corrosive additives. WBE2 can be used as a primer and can be diluted with 25% water to penetrate porous concrete. WBE2 dries to a high gloss top coat . The glass filled dries to a matte finish with a nonskid finish.
WBE2 dries very fast depending on temperature , humidity and thickness. Typical drying times are 15 minutes with up to 8 hour pot life. WBE2 may be sprayed, brushed or rolled. Tack free at 75F is 15-30 minutes. At temperatures of 50F tack free times maybe 2 hours. Rolling should be done with a short knap roller. Typical use temperatures are between 25-150F . Full cure should be 24 hours.
WBE2 can be made with ESD ( electric static discharge) additives. Its available in clear or pigmented. Unlike other ESD resins which use carbon fibers , WBE2 does not need them . ESD materials are used in clean rooms or where sparks may cause serious problems.

WSBE-3 can also come with Nano size glass filler similar to WBE-2. Glass filled WBSE-3 has a matte finish and non-skid surface. The ratio of Resin to Hardener is 1 resin to 1 hardener without glass. The glass is premeasured so it an be added to the A&B mix with a jiffy mixer. WBSE-3 can be used on concrete, asphalt, steel, aluminum, and wood. Colors are available, simply send in a pantone, RAL, or SW color number. Surface preparation is still the same as WBE-2. Like all water based products freeze protection is required for shipping.
Please contact our technical support group for specific substrate application procedures, equipment, safety gear and clean-up kits. Refer to SDS for material and safety standard procedures.
WBE-3 can withstand up to 5 freeze/thaw cycles
